The City of the Past Museum – USSR has its headquarters and deposits in the building of the Old Seminary of Dario, formerly the Major Seminary and currently Building A of the Arteaga Centrum, on the 5th floor.
This impressive building was designed in the 1930s to house an insane hospital and although the works were already very advanced, the project drawn up by Diego de Basterra was definitively killed by the civil war. Later it was reused for various uses such as workshops, tobacco dryers, and even some dairy farms. In 1951, the architect Vega readapted it for the Diocesan Seminary, finishing the works of the Major Seminary in 1960.
